A large portion of mid- and north Gilpin County was and still is devoted to homesteading and subsequent ranching. Several pioneer families have loaned artifacts from their personal collections, supplementing those from the Museum’s collection. A large collection of bits and spurs are displayed, along with typical cowboy clothing and accessories.
