Step back in time and hear the stories of those who lived and died in Gilpin County at the annual Cemetery Crawl where the dead once again come alive.

Each year, a different cemetery in Gilpin County (there are 11) hosts the event and local history buffs portray those who now call these cities of the dead home.

The 36th Annual Cemetery Crawl will be on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Catholic Cemetery above Central City. Tickets will go on sale in early summer.
